This is the true story of several European families who came to our country in the 19th century. Without the hard work of the early pioneers, our country would not have developed as rapidly as it did. Progress for later generations would have been delayed. Yet the stories of these heros have largely gone uncelebrated. Now we can gain a better appreciation of those unsung heroes who have made the American Midwest what it is.
